Below you can find an overview of questions you might have and want to seek help for. This is not an exhaustive list, you can always contact me if you need help with something that is not listed here but is about your gender, feelings of gender incongruence and/or gender dysphoria.

Gender Identity Questions
(gender questioning)

You need help to figure out questions you have surrounding your gender identity. You want to clarify what your gender is and  want to explore this with someone.

I struggle with gender dysphoria and don't know what to do with this.

You experience stress because part or the entire outside of your body does not align with how you feel inside. You may not  know whether you want or need to do something about this. For example, whether you want to transition socially and/or medically. You need help to figure that our for yourself and what it takes to be happy with yourself.

I am non-binary/gender non-conforming or transgender  and I am stuck in my (social) life/transition

You know that you are non-binary/gender non-conforming or transgender and want to start living as a person of the opposite sex or as a gender neutral person. You don't know where to start, or you have already started but you got stuck for certain reasons. You would like help with this.

I am on the long waiting list of a gender clinic and do not know how to bridge this period.

It will take a long time before you can go to a gender clinic and you need psychological help to deal with this. In the meantime, you want to spend the waiting time in a meaningful way, but you don't know how.

I am non-binary or transgender and I don't know how to tell this to my environment

You find it difficult to tell others that you are non-binary or transgender. You might experience feelings of fear and shame and do not know how to deal with this. You are maybe afraid of rejection and/or disappointing others. You need help to take steps in this direction.

I am non-binary or transgender and have completed my medical transition, but am still experiencing mental health issues

You have completed your medical transition and are basically done with your physical change. Yet you still experience psychological problems that you want help with. For example, because you receive little support from your environment (family, relationship, work), or because the expectations you had with regard to your medical transition are disappointing. You may also be unable to pick up your life after your transition for other reasons.

What gender-related questions I can not help you with unfortunately?

  • Giving you an official diagnosis of gender dysphoria to qualify for medical treatment

    • I can have some sessions with you about your gender dysphoria. Based on these sessions, I can make a report that you can take with you when it's your turn to have an intake session at a gender clinic. This often speeds up the process of diagnosis and indication for medical treatment.

  • Issuing a declaration of expertise.
