You can let me know via the contact form that you want to make an appointment. I will contact you as soon as possible and schedule an initial appointment. Prior to the first appointment, I will send you an intake form via email.

How the counseling proces will proceed globally:

Step 1. The first meeting (90 min) is meant to get acquainted, and to discuss the problems and complaints you experience. Together we write down what exactly you would like to change or help with during the counseling process. At the end of the intake session, we draw up a counseling contract. This will include, among other things, that you agree to participate in counseling sessions, the estimated duration of the process and the problem you would like help with.
Step 2. After the first meeting, the next sessions are usually aimed at exploring the deeper cause of your problems, which factors play a role in this and which unhelpful thoughts you experience. The main purpose of this is to give you more insight into the roots of the problem and what it takes to solve it.
Step 3. We then discuss and write down concrete goals that you would like to achieve in the context of your problem and make a plan to achieve these goals. We do this by choosing helpful strategies for each goal and identifying the necessary skills. We look at what skills you already have and if needed I teach you new skills.
Step 4. You will start working on the plan. Together we reflect during the sessions how things are going. Which successes you have achieved and which roadblocks you still encounter. When you regain confidence in yourself and regain control of your situation, we start working towards the end of the counseling process.

The duration of the counseling process usually varies between seven and twelve conversations. This of course depends on the nature and complexity of your problem, and on your own efforts.
Counseling is strictly confidential and is covered by professional secrecy. As a counselor I have a duty of confidentiality in accordance with the AVG. This also applies when the counseling process is reimbursed by your employer. Everything discussed within the sessions remains private.
